柯柯魔 别致英语:"wishy-washy"
Just for Fun
片段讲解秀
from:《蒙娜丽莎的微笑》
Hi everyone! Today I thought I would bring in some new words. So without further ado, here is today’s new vocabulary!
I wasn’t too sure which interesting word to introduce today………..so I thought I was being wishy-washy in making my decision. Then, I realized which word I could introduce!
Wishy-washy. Here’s the pronunciation:
Wi-shy-wa-shy. Or in Chinese: 无一系 哇系
Wishy-washy, this is an adjective. It is used to describe someone who is very weak and can't make decisions. For example:
Bob: What do you want to do today?
Pat: I don't know, what do you want to do today?
Bob: I don't know, what do you want to do today?
In this part, both Spongebob and Patrick are wishy-washy.
Decisions can also be wishy-washy. If you ask where a restaurant is, and I say, “It's this way….no, it's that way…..no no no, it's that way!", then I gave "wishy-washy" directions.Basically, the best Chinese for this would be空洞无聊.
Go ahead and have a try making a sentence! And thanks for listening!
